What we do and how we do it
Aleph Bet Inspections inspects homes across Lexington, Columbia and the surrounding Midlands. Buyers, sellers and homeowners hire us to look at a house carefully and then explain what we found in language that is actually useful. That second part matters more than people expect. A report full of hedged phrasing and industry shorthand does not help you decide anything.
Why the report goes out the same day
Real estate runs on short windows. Your due diligence period is measured in days, and every hour you spend waiting on a report is an hour you cannot spend getting a contractor quote or deciding how to respond. So the report goes out before dinner, with photos of every finding, while the house is still fresh in everyone's mind.
Plain answers about what matters
Every house has a list. The useful question is which items are safety issues, which are expensive, which are normal wear for a home of that age, and which can wait a few years. We sort them for you rather than handing over an undifferentiated pile and wishing you luck.
The service area
Lexington is home base. We regularly inspect in Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Irmo, Chapin and Blythewood. If you are not sure whether an address is in range, call and ask.
What we will not do
We will not soften a finding to keep a deal together, and we will not inflate one to look thorough. We do not take referral fees from contractors we recommend. If something cannot be evaluated because it is inaccessible or the utilities are off, the report says so plainly instead of implying it was checked.
